夏の夜のしじまに響く川のせせらぎと、水面に揺らめく篝火（かがりび）の光。 望月派五代目・望月玉渓が手掛けたこの「鵜飼図」は、静寂のなかに潜む確かな命の気配を映し出した一幅です。 京都の宮廷絵師に連なる望月派の精緻な装飾美に、四条派の柔らかく叙情的な筆致を織り交ぜた独自の画風。大和絵の最後の名手の一人と称された玉渓の技法は、暗闇に浮かび上がる鵜や鵜匠たちの姿を奥ゆかしく描き出し、観る者の心に深い余韻を残します。 長い時を超えて受け継がれる文化の断片（Legacy）。 日本の控えめな美徳（Understated Elegance）が息づくこの静かな空間は、日々の暮らしに持続的な贅沢（Sustainable Luxury）をもたらします。

The gentle murmur of the river echoing in the stillness of a summer night, illuminated by the flickering light of fishing torches on the water. "Cormorant Fishing," painted by Mochizuki Gyokkei, the fifth generation of the Mochizuki school, is a scroll that captures a distinct presence of life hidden within the profound silence. Inheriting the lineage of Kyoto's imperial court painters, Gyokkei—revered as one of the last masters of the Yamato-e tradition—seamlessly blended the precise, decorative beauty of his school with the soft, lyrical brushwork of the Shijo school. The forms of the cormorants and fishermen gracefully emerging from the darkness are depicted with a deep, lingering resonance. A fragment of culture (Legacy) passed down through the ages.
